Four years ago

Before Poms and I became a couple, he was sent to Las Vegas by IBM along with his software group. They were in front of Bellagio that night waiting for the fountain show to start. It was an amazing site and a moving moment as waters from the ground were as bright as the fireworks display with a matching song. He promised to himself that if his prayer was answered, he will bring his wife there to witness the fountain show with him. Four years ago it was. I guess by now you know what happened next.

Now that I've seen the fountain show and how romantic it was for me and hubee, I wish and hope someday my family would be there with me to watch the dancing of the waters. I really missed my parents, my sister, my brothers, and my niece and nephew. I hope this year we get to spend Christmas in Manila with my family. It's so lonely here =(

Thankfully, my in-laws are here for a vacation and we're all having a good time. That and my blog, school, and Hubee are just enough to help me overcome my homesickness.

The first thing that I do before God's perfect work of art is to give Him thanks and praise for such amazing architecture. Just two weeks ago, we went to Grand Canyon. It's a steep-sided gorge carved by Colorado River in Arizona. Before reaching our destination, we passed by Hoover Dam, another government project, which stands at the border of Nevada and Arizona with only one-hour time difference. We thought we could still go back and take some pictures after Grand Canyon but four hours up there isn't just enough.

Grand Canyon in real life looks like a painting. I never thought that I would reach one of my top dream destinations in the world. Just an important reminder, there are no borders around the area so one wrong step on the rock lands you to a fall of thousands feet high. Not fun anymore. I thank the Lord for not having fear from heights otherwise I wouldn't enjoy the very impressive scenery. There's an amazing carving that looks like an eagle with its wings wide-spread looking at the West.

Hmmm...God must be thinking of the eagles when He made Grand Canyon.

Pepot, Poms's brother is leaving for Manila tomorrow. While one special visitor leaves our happy home another three is coming on the same day. The family of Grace, one of my sisters-in-law, will stay with us for a week. That sounds really fun because her sisters are all wacky and outgoing. Can't wait for another fun fun fun week!
