Make way for Spring

Yay! Spring officially starts today. That means Summer is just few months away and I'm dying to feel the heat of the sun. But spring is still cold. We have longer cold season here. Right now it's 68°F (20°C) it's like Baguio weather and I have to thank for that forecast.

Last night I was chatting with my former colleague in Destiny Cable. Joseph, who is now based in Ontario, Canada, is not happy anymore with the weather they have up there. At first it was fun playing at the snow for the first time but as days go by, it's becoming a hassle. Just imagine going out of the building with thick jacket, warmer, scarf, gloves, and winter knit hats for protection and when you forget something in the car, you have to put them on again and go back outside. Cold season is no fun for me but why does weather channel broadcasts "Tornado Awareness Week?" Scary...

Another thing I miss in the Philippines is the nationwide observance of Lenten Season, longer holidays, and sunny weather. Poms has his Friday off. He said the company is populated by Roman Catholics so that must be the reason why. Oh and by the way, Palm Sunday here is like an ordinary holy week mass. Same gospel, same celebration of mass but completely different. The palm leaves are not being sold outside like what we have in Manila. They just give it away for free, blessed, and ready to take home after the mass. Isn't that neat? Oh well, Happy Easter everyone!

I still miss home.
